The Office of Residence Life at Hiram strives to create an environment that bridges living and learning and aims to complement the student experience that is obtained while in the higher education environment. Through innovative and creative programming, we strive to motivate residential and commuter students to become interested in the process of their own growth and development both inside and outside of the classroom. In the Residence Life Office, the staff is concerned with the total effectiveness of individuals in dealing with all aspects of their environment. The staff is concerned with the students’ ability to relate to others, solve problems, make decisions, compromise, and to better understand who they are, through increased awareness of their interests, aptitudes, abilities, and limitations. Through pointed and innovative programing, our staff works to create a community that supports student creativity and individuality as they learn, grow, and connect with the world around them. If you have any ideas, questions or concerns, please stop by or call the office.

The Residential Education Office is located in Bates Hall. The telephone number is 330.569.5232.
